Your individuality and unique personal style are fundamental to
what we're wanting to capture in your photographs.
The more 'you' your wardrobe, make-up and hair styling choices, the more comfortable and relaxed you'll feel and the stronger the final images will be.
That being said, here are a few things to consider when preparing for your shoot day:
Keep your wardrobe choices simple. Block colours are best. Avoid the busiest patterns and avoid graphics.
Trust your own style, but don't go for anything more casual than a smart casual look. Dress like a boss!
Consider a neckline that suits you. Ask a friend if in doubt, or bring a couple of options along with you, but, tbh, your gut instinct is likely spot on.
Well-ironed clothes are usually the better choice.
Avoid any worn-out clothing - unless it's a very deliberate choice.
If you wear jewellery, keep it simple. Think of it as a finishing touch that’s not distracting to the viewer.
Generally, go for tailored fits. A strong silhouette is often superb - but, as with all of this advice, you do you.
Choose clothing that contrasts with your skin tone so you really 'pop'. If you want to go deep into colour theory for skin tones have a look here, here, here or here.
If you're wearing make-up keep it to a natural look (unless a strong look is part of your style and branding design) . The more we can see you in your natural state, the more compelling the image will be.
Bring lip balm. Even better, stick some on right now and keep your lips moist until the session.
Keep yourself well hydrated between now and the shoot. Water is life and you want your skin to glow.
And get yourself a good sleep the night before the shoot if you can!
